In buildings where we spend a lot of time – it is reasonable to ask for good air quality!

When ventilating buildings a certain proportion of outdoor air is introduced.

Outside humidity levels will impact air indoors.

To avoid corrosion and mold humidity levels should always be kept below 55% RH

Airwatergreen energy efficient dehumidifiers can be used in all parts of the building. Depending on the installation and purpose different models are recommended. In attics, basements and crawl spaces – FLEX or  REX are the alternatives. When installaing dehumidification as part of the ventilation system –  NEXT is typically the model to consider.

All Airwatergreen dehumidifiers are able to dehumidify just as efficiently at low temperatures as at high ones. This makes it possible to minimize heating costs in buildings or parts of the buildings that are visited only from time to time.

Being able to install the dehumidifiers without unnecessary ventilation ducts reduce the installation cost drastically.

Below ground

Challenges

Humidity load in premises below ground typically enters through floors and walls. If the humidity level is too high, mold and bacterial growth soon develop. Mold will spread to the rest of the building, resulting in reduced air quality and damage to the building.

Our solution

FLEX can be set to be controlled against “mold index” (LIM1) which provides optimum control to the right moisture level depending on the temperature in the crawl space. The installation is simplified due to the fact that there is no need for unnecessary ventilation ducts. Dry air is distributed by the powerful built-in fan.

BASEMENT STORAGE

Challenges

Humidity in the basements either comes from the ground but also from poorly isolated walls. Too high humidity levels in the basement spaces can generate corrosion and mold. This can lead to dangerous damages within the concrete constructions. If the concrete is too moist  reinforcement bars can begin to corrode inside the concrete leading to reduced strength and ultimately to collapse of the entire structure.

Our solution

FLEX & REX are suitably set against a relative humidity level below 55% RH to protect against corrosion and mold. The installation is simplified by the fact that we generate dry air in place and that the dry air is distributed in the space of the powerful built-in fan. This makes it easy to install the dehumidifiers in existing buildings.

PRODUCT CHOICES

The product selection depends on the humidity load that can be estimated. In smaller to medium-sized spaces, FLEX is the natural choice. Dew point sensors can be used to control the FLEX against the correct moisture level to avoid condensation on cold surfaces.
FLEX Can be mounted on wall bracket or stand on the floor.
Both FLEX and REX can be connected to existing climate control systems via Modbus.
